The Three Hakomi Learning Tracks

Hakomi trainings are designed mainly for psychotherapists, as well as graduate students and interns in mental health. We also welcome qualified helping professionals of various modalities.

Hakomi has trained   helping professionals around the world for 40 years.

Please be aware that if you are not currently a licensed mental health professional, you will likely need additional training to practice psychotherapy. Contact your state or country’s regulating entities to determine what credentials you need for legal practice in your area.

Hakomi introductory workshops are geared towards professionals but open to the general public. Some faculty offer personal development programs on various specialty topics.

Choose the learning track that fits you best:

I’m a psychotherapist, intern or graduate student in psychology:

I'm in another helping profession:

I'm interested in personal development:

I’m a psychotherapist, intern, or graduate student in mental health

The first step is to experience a Hakomi introductory workshop.

Next, you are welcome to apply for longer, more intensive Hakomi training. After graduating from the training, we hope you will continue refining your work by becoming a Certified Hakomi Therapist. Certification is a separate process from the training that is proficiency-based.

I'm in another helping profession:

Coaches, educators, spiritual counselors, bodyworkers, and health care professionals who primarily work one-to-one with clients have found Hakomi to be an inspiring and powerful adjunct to their work.

If you’re in a helping profession other than psychotherapy, your first step is to experience an intro to Hakomi workshop. Doing so will allow you to see if Hakomi is a good fit for you and help our faculty determine if you’re a good candidate for studying our experiential depth psychology.

After attending a Hakomi workshop, you can apply for longer, more intensive Hakomi training. Once you graduate, we hope you will continue to polish your skills to become a Certified Hakomi Practitioner. Certification is proficiency-based and is not automatic or contingent on completing a certain number of training hours.

I'm interested in personal development:

If you’re interested in Hakomi for personal growth, you can register for a Hakomi introductory workshop, as these events are open to the general public.

You may be in a transition or career change and exploring development to become a therapist or other healing professional. In this case, admission into Hakomi training is at the discretion of each training team, and you may contact them directly.

Working with a Hakomi therapist or practitioner is another great way to learn more about Hakomi from the inside out.
