All flourishing is mutual.

This December 2nd, Giving Tuesday, is our kickoff for our first ever year end fundraising drive dedicated to a scholarship fund for emerging and practicing mental health professionals.

We are committed to finding ways to make our trainings more accessible and affordable, and are in the process of applying for grants. Our scholarships have been entirely funded by the generosity of our faculty, and even though we’ve given more scholarships this year than ever, there is still more need for financial assistance than we can provide.

By making Hakomi training more affordable and accessible, we are investing in a new generation of mental health leaders who are equipped with innovative, body-centered approaches to address suffering at its roots. Every scholarship given impacts far more than a single student—it reaches many more clients, families, and communities those practitioners serve each year. Our scholarships are awarded through clear criteria, including screening for financial hardships, belonging to historically underserved populations (such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, refugees, or veterans), and demonstrated service to marginalized communities.

Please consider contributing to our scholarship fund. No gift is too small, and will not only remove financial barriers, but also allow the gifts of Hakomi to touch more people’s lives. The Hakomi Institute is a non–profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Hakomi Institute’s mission is to teach and promote mindful somatic psychotherapy in service of core transformation.

Hakomi graduates use their skills in various contexts including depth psychotherapy, counseling, clinical social work, education, coaching, community work, and other health related fields.

We are committed to making the Hakomi method more accessible and affordable. Your donation will help expand our scholarship program, support our DEI projects, research on the efficacy of Hakomi, and our membership services.

If you have thoughts about how to better share this work, let us know.
