Yuns Yim

Enrollment and Training Coordinator 

Yuns is the Enrollment and Training Coordinator for the Hakomi Institute. She provides kind and compassionate administrative and technical support to the Central Team’s faculty and students by creating and managing student registrations, applications, communications, evaluations, and CE Certificates for central workshops and trainings.

Born in Gwangju, South Korea, and raised in Eastern Washington, she now calls Olympia, Washington home. She has many years of experience composing and teaching music, and has Level One Training in Polarity Therapy. Surrounded by the beauty of nature in the Evergreen State, Yuns keeps busy cultivating aquatic plants, going on photo walks, and participating in conscious dance events. 

Shay Nichols

Operations Manager

Shay is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hakomi Institute, general inquiries, and supporting the Hakomi Faculty. A Hakomi graduate who has spent the past ten years working in the healing arts, she is thrilled to use her organizational and administrative experience to support the Hakomi Institute. 

Shay is also a recording artist, therapeutic voice coach, and founder of the Wild and Sacred Voice School where she offers voice workshops and private therapeutic voice sessions. 

Deeply inspired by the wisdom of nature, she is currently working on multi-layered vocal compositions for the upcoming album Lullabies for the Earth.

Lisa Rome

Global Programs Lead

Lisa is focused on developing Global Programs for advanced learning for Hakomi graduates while initiating additional ways to support our community Members.  She earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Leadership from Naropa University and has spent the past 10+ years in community engagement, supporting and building communities of healing professionals (both online and in-person).

She lives in the Chagrin River Valley of Northeast Ohio (a woodsy ecosystem), hikes several times a week, and loves life-nourishing possibilities and connections.

CHAIR

Donna Roy, L.P.C. C.H.T.

Donna Roy, MS, L.P.C., C.H.T., has a private counseling and consulting practice near Portland, Oregon, and is the 2023-24 chair of the Hakomi Institute board. She has been a C.H.T. for over 20 years and a Hakomi faculty member since 2010. She offers certification support and teaches in local and international Hakomi and Primary Attachment Therapy (P.A.T.) trainings.

CO-CHAIR

Mukara Meredith M.S.W., C.H.T.

Mukara Meredith, M.S.W., has over 30 years of experience in teaching, consulting, and training. She is a Hakomi Trainer and developer of the Matrixworks approach to working with groups as Living Systems, and trains individuals and corporate leaders internationally in this Hakomi-based approach.

Halko Weiss, Ph.D, DBH, Dipl.-Psych., accredited Clinical Psychologist, C.H.T.

Halko Weiss, Ph.D., Dipl.-Psych., ECP,  supervisor (BDP), is a licensed clinical psychologist, co-founder and Senior Trainer* of the Hakomi Institute in the U.S. He founded the Hakomi Institute of Europe, based in Germany, and served as its International Director for over 25 years. Halko also founded Hakomi of Australia and Hakomi New Zealand.

Lorena Monda, L.P.C., D.O.M., C.H.T.

Lorena Monda, M.S., D.O.M., L.P.C.C., C.H.T., is a certified Hakomi therapist and a Senior Hakomi Trainer* for the Hakomi Institute, teaching Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy in the U.S. and Japan. She has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1977.

Bettina Berger, M.D., C.H.T.

Bettina Berger is a physician in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy. After 12 years of clinical psychosomatic work, she now offers psychotherapy for individuals and groups in private practice.

Hiromi Willingham, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., CHT

Hiromi Willingham, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., CHT is a certified Hakomi therapist and a Hakomi Trainer for the Hakomi Institute, teaching Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy in the U.S. and Japan. She has been a practicing psychotherapist since 2001. She is a frequent guest instructor for clinical practicum program at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). She is a former adjunct professor at Zayed University in the UAE.

Ido Siemion, Ph.D, C.H.T.

Ido Siemion, PhD., is a Certified Hakomi Trainer, co-founder of the Hakomi Institute of Israel, and a trainer for MAPS (The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies).

Jacqueline Hull, M.A., L.M.F.T., C.H.T.

Jacqueline Hull, M.A., L.M.F.T., C.H.T. is a Senior Hakomi Trainer* who leads Hakomi trainings and workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada. She is a co-developer of Experiential Couples Psychotherapy, and has served as faculty for the Somatic Psychology M.A. program at Naropa University and for the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute.

Jules Morgaine, MHP, MNZAP, PBANZ, C.H.T.

Jules Morgaine leads Hakomi trainings in Aotearoa/NZ and Australia, and has over 30 years experience in private practice offering psychotherapy and supervision.

Manuela Mischke-Reeds, M.A., M.F.T., C.H.T.

Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, MFT., C.H.T., is an international Hakomi Trainer and author who teaches somatic psychology, movement and trauma psychotherapy. She co-founded the Hakomi Institute of California and recently created Embodywise, a non-profit learning community that supports the wisdom teachings through the body.

Melissa M. Grace, M.A., C.H.T.

Melissa Grace, M.A., CHT, is a Senior Hakomi Trainer* and Lead Trainer in the Colorado and Northeast Hakomi Trainings. Melissa has led workshops and trainings throughout the U.S. for 30 years, and continues to design, innovate and teach all levels of Hakomi with her team.

Ting Ting Hu, M.A., C.H.P.

Hu Ting Ting, MA, is the Co-Director of the Hakomi Institute of China and has been responsible for organizing its trainings in China. She teaches courses online and in-person integrating spirituality, nature and writing.

*Senior faculty have taught with Hakomi Institute for 20+ years.
