In this 2 day introduction to the Hakomi method we will explore client defenses and barriers to psychological expansion and wellness. Using the Hakomi principles of mindfulness, non-violence, unity, mind-body wholism and organicity we will learn how to embrace and work with stuckness and defensiveness. We will develop somatic techniques to support client to get curious about what blocks them from actualizing their intentions and build therapeutic interventions that can soften client defenses.
This workshop is open to anyone who has an interest with working somatically with clients; social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, nurses, bodyworkers. No prerequisite Hakomi training needed.
