Find new depths in your client work through Hakomi – the mindfulness based somatic psychotherapy method
What will you learn?
– Mindful Presence: Learn how to create therapeutic space where clients feel authentically seen and heard, which is one of the most underestimated aspects to determine the success of any therapeutic method.
– Deep Listening Skills: Learn how to truly hear what your clients are saying, beyond words, by tuning into the wisdom of their body and emotions.
– Speaking to the body: Learn to use language that help your clients enter the body where the core material is stored, rather than keeping them in the head. This brings the client in the path to unlock subconscious beliefs, emotional memories and insights often unreachable by cognitive approaches.
– Effective Inquiry: Develop the art of asking compassionate and powerful questions that invite curiosity and self-exploration, befriending resistance and defensiveness, rather than fighting it.
– Assisted and bidirectional mindfulness : Learn to use mindfulness beyond a method of meditation, but as a tool to help clients become more present with their experiences, to uncover the subconscious memories and beliefs that drive their behavior. Through bidirectional mindfulness, the therapist also enters a mindful state to be present to the clients experience as well as observing one’s own experience in the interaction with the client. This helps the therapist to be mindful of any countertransference where the therapists’ own patterns are affected by interacting with the clients.
– Holistic Integration: Discover techniques for integrating mind, body, and emotions, facilitating transformative healing and growth.
