This is an ethics course—one that will reframe your idea of ethics and your idea of power. As Rob Fisher says, “This is ethics from the inside out, not the rules side in.” Indeed, you’ll find yourself engaging with ethics and issues of power in the familiar Hakomi mindful and embodied way through experientials, interesting material, great discussions, practical skills, and time to integrate.

Objectives

1. Name and describe 3 types of power and why it is important to understand the differences.
2. List 3 dynamics that accompany any relationship in which there is a difference in power.
3. Describe 3 ways to mediate the shadow of power.
4. Learn and practice a 5-step method to work through conflict.
5. Demonstrate using feedback as an investment in relationship.
