Eligibilty:

The Hakomi-informed Somatic Coaching (HiSC) Program offers a foundational Program in the principles, theories, and basic techniques of Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy as applied to the coaching field. The HiSC Program is designed for coaches and is not a mental health training for psychotherapists or other licensed or registered mental health professionals. Coaching participants understand that using the full Hakomi method of psychotherapy requires ongoing study and appropriate professional credentials to offer psychotherapy or counseling in the person’s region.

The HiSC program is also not a pathway to certification in Hakomi. Hakomi Certification requires completing a Hakomi Training and getting subsequent mentoring and review by Hakomi trainers. At this time, the Hakomi Institute does not endorse titles such as Hakomi Coach. A HiSC graduate who successfully completes the program may refer to themselves as a “Graduate of the Hakomi-Informed Somatic Coaching program.”
