ABOUT
Shay Barak
I offer a safe and supportive space for people seeking both healing and growth in their lives. My approach is rooted in genuine care, tenderness, and direct guidance, helping clients move beyond limiting patterns and reconnect with a deeper sense of self. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, our work together focuses on uncovering what holds you back and cultivating the balance and authenticity that allow you to live more fully.
For over a decade, i have been integrating into my practice a mind-body approach with a foundation in both Western psychology and Eastern philosophies. I’ve studied and applied a range of methods, including Hakomi, Somatic Approach to Healing Trauma, Relational Somatic Healing, Recreation of the Self (RC-S), Mind-Body Integration, Mindfulness, Qigong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These approaches provide clients with a compassionate and well-contained framework in which healing naturally leads to growth, and growth deepens healing.
Clients who work with me often describe the experience as both nurturing and clarifying. They feel seen, supported, and safe to explore vulnerable parts of themselves, while also being gently guided toward new perspectives and ways of living. I welcome clients who are committed to their personal growth—individuals, couples—who are ready to release old patterns and discover a life more aligned with their true needs.
Sessions are available in-person in my San Mateo office or online, making this work accessible no matter where you are. We begin with a free introductory call to explore whether working together feels right.
