ABOUT
Rachael Sharkland
I offer Somatic and Expressive Arts Coaching to help you connect to embodied sovereignty and confidence. My practice is nourishment-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I support you to navigate life transitions with integrity and align personal growth with collective transformation. I bring a critical understanding of oppression to my work and offer this practice in service of the liberation and well-being of all life.
I work with mothers, parents, and curious, sensitive folks at all stages of life who long to manage stress and reclaim agency—so that they can experience more balance, clarity, and purpose. I am a certified Hakomi Practitioner, certified Mind-Body Coach, mother, dancer, and designer. With over two decades of experience as a performer and movement educator, I focus on experiential and hands-on embodied practices that you can bring into your everyday life. Sessions incorporate Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, Mind-Body Coaching, Somatic EMDR, contemplative movement, Feldenkrais, Body-Mind Centering, Qi Gong, massage therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
I support all expressions of gender and am trans/ queer friendly. I work with the emotional, political, spiritual, and creative processes of identity (gender, queerness, whiteness, motherhood, parenthood, body image) intimacy and relationships, self-actualization and
expression.
