ABOUT
Miriam Brodersen
I have been working as a therapist since 2007 and have been intensively studying Hakomi since 2013. Learning Hakomi has been life-changing for me personally and professionally. As someone with a pattern of pushing myself to “be better,” the gentleness and compassion at the heart of Hakomi feels like a balm. I treasure helping others transform their relationships with themselves and others through this powerful method.
I am also passionate about connecting inner work with the work of collective liberation. My struggle with climate anxiety inspired me to seek out training in ecotherapy and climate resiliency. In addition to working one-on-one with folks feeling the weight of the world’s crises, I offer groups and talks on eco-anxiety and grief.
I work with many kinds of people, including LGBTQIA+ folks, Spanish-speakers, healers, activists, highly sensitive and/or neurodiverse folks, caregivers and parents. We can meet in my office in Durham, online, or outside by the Eno River.
