ABOUT
Kelly Wedell
Once the cells of the body know the experience of safety, honesty and trust within one relationship it can then begin to emulate the experience in other relationships. This is the healing power that counseling within the Hakomi principles offers. And without these elements the brain holds on tightly to old ways of being which makes change difficult. I am committed to offering all of my training, skills and experience in the service of creating a healthy, collaborative therapeutic relationship that fosters personal growth and healing.
During my 24 years of offering counseling services I have sat with a wide range of people, all with the same desire of seeking a safe relationship to explore, heal and grow. I bring specialized knowledge in utilizing neuropsychology, working somatically with attachment and trauma and supporting addiction recovery individually and within the family.
I am an EMDRIA certified consultant and a certified clinical supervisor for mental health counselors in NC in addition to being a Hakomi Certified Therapist and a current teacher-in-training in the Hakomi method.
