ABOUT
Jim Lehrman
Since 1977, I’ve enjoyed blending Hakomi with other present-centered and psychodynamic modalities, working in-person and remotely with wonderful individuals, couples, families, organizations, and creative collaborators. I love this work and it always seems new to me. Through these years I’ve also provided corporate consulting, executive coaching, been Director of Interface (Boston) and Omega Institute (NY), and played an integral role in forming the Hakomi Institute. I’ve been meditating since 1973, homeschooled my kids who have gone on to do amazing things, and played guitar in the Guru Blanket Band (Ram Dass’ “backup band”). In education, I’ve taught emotional intelligence skills in both private and public schools, trained and supervised therapists, and taught in universities, while not having a college degree, myself. My path through life has been very rich, fun, and unusual. I’m not very traditional and my approach to working with clients is light and creative, as well as deep and experiential, while being responsively purpose-centered.
