Susan San Tara

Susan San Tara is a licensed psychotherapist, Certified Hakomi Therapist, and Certified Hakomi Trainer in private practice since 2000. In 2007, Susan founded Anam Cara Therapy Center, a community-based healing arts center in Berkeley California. Susan teaches Hakomi throughout California, and in Columbia, South America. She has also served as adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and at John F. Kennedy (JFK) University in Berkeley, as well as in San Jose. Susan holds a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from JFK University. In addition, Susan has studied eco-psychology, Amazonian shamanism, energy systems, and Earth-based healing approaches for over 30 years. Weaving wisdom from the natural world, the poetry embedded in the body, a love of the divine mystery, and a profound respect for the human creature together are the cornerstones of her work. Essential to Susan’s therapeutic and teaching work is her warm, nurturing, and friendly style, which sets the tone for a dynamic growth environment.
