Pernilla Siebenfreund
Pernilla Siebenfreund
Pernilla is a Hakomi Trainer, Certified Hakomi Therapist, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She has trained with numerous experts including Stan Grof – Holotropic Breathwork and Hal & Sidra Stone – Voice Dialogue. She is also trained to work with children, parents and couples.
Pernilla started her therapist career later in life after her first career in computer engineering in Sweden and Norway. As she ventured into the field of psychotherapy, she initially offered tele health sessions to children and parents for an organisation in Brisbane, Australia. Alongside being employed, she started her private practice for individuals and relationships and has now been seeing clients for over 20 years. She has been a meditation practitioner since 1995, mainly practising in the Eastern traditions, and her work is deeply influenced by the kindness and compassion that these traditions are steeped in.
When Pernilla participated in her first Hakomi workshop in 2002, she felt a deep resonance with this modality. She completed the training in 2006 and then continued on with the teacher path and joined the faculty in 2013. She is part of the Sydney training team and is also presenting workshops in Brisbane and other parts of Australia. She is the Brisbane Hakomi organiser and has hosted events with national and internationally trainers for over a decade. For a few years she was the co-editor of the Hakomi Australia Association newsletter. Pernilla offers supervision to Hakomi graduates and also supports graduates towards certification.
