Karen Baikie, Ph.D. M.Clin.Psych, C.H.T. is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 19 years experience working with individuals and couples in private practice in Sydney, Australia. Karen is a Certified Hakomi Trainer with the Hakomi Institute Pacifica Team, teaching on the Sydney Professional Training, and co-facilitator with Halko Weiss in the Australian Hakomi Embodied and Aware Relationships Training (H.E.A.R.T.) in Sydney. She runs workshops on aspects of Hakomi and H.E.A.R.T. throughout Australia and provides supervision. Karen is the Director and Founder of Grow Mindfully: Centre for Psychology, Psychotherapy and Health, a group private practice of mindfulness informed practitioners. Karen supports people with difficulties in the areas of attachment, trauma, emotional health, relationships, parenting, fertility, eating, and gut health. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology on the use of expressive writing as a therapeutic tool for survivors of trauma. She has worked extensively with adult survivors of child abuse, is trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and has completed Somatic Experiencing training. Karen is passionate about assisting individuals, couples and other therapists in using mindfulness-based approaches to support deepening awareness and connection with themselves and others.
