ABOUT

Shai Lavie

Shai Lavie, M.A., M.F.T., is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer and a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with a private practice in San Rafael. He is also certified in the Somatic Experiencing method of working with trauma. Shai serves as Adjunct Faculty at Sofia University and has conducted trainings at dozens of local agencies, universities, and counseling centers. He also leads transformational groups with adults and for many years has led therapeutic groups in Bay Area high schools, as well as numerous wilderness-based Rites of Passage programs. Shai has been practicing Vipassana meditation for 25 years and has taught meditation in the Teen and Family Program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center since 2001.
