ABOUT
Sophie K. Jani
My work with couples is rooted in deep presence, warmth, and a belief in the transformative power of intentional connection. I hold a Certificate in Sex Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and am certified in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy. Hakomi complements my couples work beautifully by helping clients access and explore unconscious beliefs and body-held patterns that shape how they relate to
themselves and each other. My approach integrates psychosexual education with somatic tools, and I am trained in both the Differentiation Model from The Couples Institute and the Wheel of Consent—two frameworks that help partners understand and honor their boundaries while fostering closeness and authenticity. In addition to therapy, I offer ketamine-assisted sessions for couples who feel stuck or are ready to explore new dimensions of their
relationship. These sessions are grounded in safety and mutual respect, offering a spacious, altered state in which insights and healing can unfold. Whether a couple is working through a rupture, feeling more like roommates than lovers, or longing to rediscover pleasure, my work invites them to slow down, tune in, and courageously reimagine their connection. I bring a gentle, grounded presence to this process, holding space for both vulnerability and growth.
