ABOUT
Rebecca S. Haralabatos
I welcome couples, co-parents, families & individuals with care, acceptance and curiosity about your inner & outer world. Fundamental to our work is establishing our relationship as one in which you feel safe, valued and heard.
Grounded in Hakomi & Relational Somatic Healing, the next healing element is paying attention & slowing down to re-connect you to the unfolding wisdom of your body. I weave in expressive arts, a cultural lens, elements of DBT, Transpersonal, Gestalt, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Non-Violent Communications and yoga when appropriate and desired. I have a table, sandtray & yoga rope wall with props in the office and love when we can express with the whiteboard on Zoom.
Having delved into race & gender identity process groups & extensive one way mirror training in family therapy, I support you in dismantling dis-empowering dynamics in your family, community and societal systems. Together, we work to shift limiting beliefs & patterns and tap into internal and external resources that bolster your life & relationships.
Given my social work & human resource executive background and yogic awareness, when in alignment, I will at times be directive and solution oriented. Collaborative & consistent relationships heal trauma, decrease emotional reactivity and increase creativity, flexibility & playfulness. This is a journey we take together.
