ABOUT
Alex Olshonsky
Hi, I’m Alex, a Certified Hakomi Practitioner, executive coach, and writer. My work is devoted to helping people self-realize and lead lives rich in depth, fulfillment, and joy. I work relationally, with great care, to support meaningful, embodied transformation. My approach weaves together somatic psychotherapy, contemplative traditions, and practical tools from applied psychology and contemporary mind-body science. I support clients across a range of needs, with specialties in embodied leadership, men’s work, addiction recovery, habit change, and spiritual awakening.
At the core of my work is helping people recognize how unconscious patterns shape their experience, and to open to the freedom and vitality that have always been waiting within. I support this unfolding of self with compassion, precision, and a deep respect for each person’s inherent intelligence.
For over a decade, I’ve trained in contemplative, therapeutic, entheogenic, and awakening-based traditions. I’m the co-founder of an addiction and psychedelic nonprofit, and have been leading men’s groups for many years. My work is also informed by Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Integral Theory, and yogic embodiment.
I work with clients internationally over Zoom and in person from my office in the Oakland hills.
